Verges damaged

ROADSIDE verges in Peppard are being eroded by heavy goods vehicles, says a parish councillor.

ROADSIDE verges in Peppard are being eroded by heavy goods vehicles, says a parish councillor.

Valerie Ross said few streets in the parish had kerb stones which meant the verges were vulnerable to damage.

She told a council meeting: “You see it everywhere where the big lorries go and it’s getting worse. Any road that does not have kerb stones will find big lorries eroding the verges.”

Councillor Tony Rancombe said other culprits were contractors parking up for developments such as new houses.
