PLANS for 241 new homes in Benson have once again been recommended for approval.
Earlier this month members of South Oxfordshire District Council’s planning committee agreed to defer a decision on WestWaddy’s plans.
They wanted to visit the farmland north of Littleworth Road, which the architect wants to develop.
Now the council’s planning officers have recommended granting consent at a meeting on Wednesday next week.
The company already has planning permission for 159 properties on the site after winning a planning appeal last year.
WestWaddy says the second phase of development would form a “natural extension” to the village and provide convenient access to the village via footpaths and cycleways.
However, residents have raised concerns about the impact the development would have on the infrastructure.
