Elite cyclists in road race

AN elite cycling event will set off from Woodcote village hall at 11am on Sunday.

AN elite cycling event will set off from Woodcote village hall at 11am on Sunday.

Eighty competitors in the Victor Berlemont memorial road race will complete eight laps of a 12.5-mile course that passes through Crays Pond, Goring and North and South Stoke.

Entrants include Team Wiggins, a professional development squad founded by world champion cyclist and triple GB Olympic gold medallist Sir Bradley Wiggins.

The prize-giving ceremony will take place at the hall at about 4pm. Spectators are welcome and are asked to park responsibly.
