All aboard magical mystery music tour

THE magical world of CS Lewis’ Narnia is brought to life on the Kenton stage by the students of StageWorks

THE magical world of CS Lewis’ Narnia is brought to life on the Kenton stage by the students of StageWorks dance and drama school next week.

The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe follows Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy as they join the struggle to free Narnia from the clutches of an eternal winter brought about by the evil White Witch.

StageWorks spokesman, Emma Jane Taylor, said: “This is a family show and children are sure to thrill to their adventures as they meet Mr Tumnus, the faun, Mr and Mrs Beaver, fight with bloodthirsty wolves and of course, encounter the mighty Aslan!

“This production is one of the biggest productions that StageWorks have produced with their students and everyone is very excited about this opportunity to perform one of the greatest classics.”

The show will be performed by children aged four to 16. with some cameo roles by adults.

The show runs from Monday, November 25 to Saturday, Novemer 30 (there is no performance on Wednesday, November 27). To buy tickets please call (01491) 877205. Please note the Saturday matinée is almost sold out.

Meanwhile, Ms Taylor said StageWorks has had a “great” year and is looking forward to unveiling its new team and new format in 2014.

She said: “To promote this offer we are offering six-week free trials to talented local children wanting to experience the performing arts in January. The school is also introducing adult ballet, adult jazz and disco and drama clubs on Saturdays for children aged four to eight.”
