JOHN GREEN had an unexpected visitor for breakfastone day last week.
He woke up and came downstairs to discover a tawny owl in his kitchen.
John, who lives in Maidensgrove with his wife Elizabeth, says: “I’m not sure who was more surprised — me or the owl! Somehow it had managed to fly in through a small gap in a partially opened window.”
John, who is chairman of the Henley and Peppard branch of the Royal British Legion, took these pictures before releasing the owl back into the wild.
“Happily, the bird was unhurt,” he said.
