WE are passionate about our school. Fundamentally we believe that this is a place where children are both cared for and do well.

As a Catholic school we believe that each child is unique and of equal value — there are no second-class citizens here.

Our founder’s motto translates as “Heart speaks to heart” and the OPS is indeed a school with a heart.

This manifests itself in the relationships here, both amongst the pupils and between staff and pupils, which are relaxed, respectful and supportive.

We are also passionate about achievement, and OPS pupils achieve highly, whether it be in gaining academic scholarships, in music, art, drama, public speaking or sport. Our children are highly motivated and committed to being the very best they can be.

Of course, schools are far more about people than facilities — and we are blessed with a wonderfully talented, creative, energetic and committed staff team — but our pupils are lucky to have 65 acres of superb playing fields and woods at their disposal.

We also have a fantastic indoor swimming pool, a purpose-built theatre for plays and concerts, and excellent IT provision — including interactive whiteboards in every classroom.

If you like what you see, I would encourage you to come for a visit and a “heart to heart” with me!
