Children and parents brought in cakes for Caversham Preparatory School ‘s annual Macmillan big tea afternoon. After a welcome assembly, the teachers, children and parents gathered in the school garden in September sunshine for a chat, a delicious cake and a cup of tea.

Headteacher Jacqueline Lawson, said: “The Macmillan Cancer Support charity has a special place in my heart and, I know, for a lot of other families in our school community, so we always eager to hold a big tea afternoon at the beginning of each school year.”

The school raised £232.
