From Hamlet to bushcraft, it’s a packed timetable

THERE is always plenty of excitement in the air at Oratory Prep in September as the Michaelmas term starts and we welcome both new and existing pupils to the school.

Last year’s Year 2 pupils move up from the pre-prep into the prep school and Year 7 take their place at the top of the school in Year 8.

But there’s no time to rest on their laurels, though, as they are straight into rehearsals of Hamlet for the Schools’ Shakespeare Festival.

Before the month is out our Year 7 girls will have taken a pastoral trip to the Isle of Wight and Year 4 will have experienced the Bushcraft Camp, which is always a firm favourite.

There are sports matches galore throughout the month, including the Colts’ first rugby tournament of the year. Our nursery, Little Oaks, which opened in January and takes children from two years upwards, is also going from strength to strength with the new building seeming as though it has always been there as it is now full of busy little children happy in their play.
