First years have an amazing year of fun

MOVING up to senior school is both an exciting and sometimes a daunting prospect. Some of the boys who have just finished their first year at Abingdon share their experiences.

Fraser said: “I was a bit nervous about what the food would be like but I needn’t have been.

“Everyone was in the same boat, which made it easier. The teachers know we are going to be nervous so they are very welcoming.

“My Mum and Dad were almost as excited as I was — they wanted to go!”

Theo said: “They mix everyone up so it doesn’t matter if you don’t know anyone, it’s very comfortable and relaxed. Mr Jenkins is in charge and he is very organised, he also went to Abingdon from a small primary school so he knows exactly how we are feeling.”
