First to offer outdoor teaching

First to offer outdoor teaching
CHOOSING the right school for your child is one of the hardest decisions any parent makes, not least because every child is different.

Most in Henley have heard of Rupert House, the independent school for girls and boys set in the heart of the town. The school caters for girls and boys from the age of three to 11, with boys leaving at the end of lower school to attend a range of highly regarded schools. The school prides itself on delivering a caring ‘family atmosphere’ that nurtures the children to give them a sense of belonging, so that they are ready to absorb the wide range of opportunities on offer.

During the first few years at Rupert House, the primary focus is to introduce the boys and girls to school life, the fundamentals of reading and numeracy, in small class sizes with plenty of structured play. These experiences define the early stages of their own personal learning journeys.

As children make their way through school, an impressive array of academic subjects is taught by teachers with subject-specialisms, leading to consistently strong results and often scholarships to future schools.

Many opportunities exist to discover a wide range of musical instruments, perform in school productions, successfully compete with other schools in a range of sports, or participate in dozens of clubs. Day and residential trips in the UK and in a French chateau enhance the curriculum further.
