Students write, produce and direct new Red Riding Hood

STUDENTS at The Henley College have written and will direct and star in a new production.

Nick Rothwell and Flora Kimberley together wrote The Wolf Inside, a modern twist on the fairy story Little Red Riding Hood.

Miss Kimberley, who is studying for an A level in drama and theatre studies, said: “This play is very personal to me and I wrote it to help me get over a difficult period in my own life.

“I asked my teachers if I could stage it and they said yes. The drama department has been very supportive and given me guidance throughout the process, but this really is a student-driven production — it stars students, is written and directed by myself and I hope people will support it in the same way they would regular college productions.”

Head of drama Nic Saunders said: “This is the first time in over a decade that a production has been staged at the college that is entirely the work of students without staff involvement.
