Pupils meet MP

PUPILS at Stoke Row Primary School questioned Henley MP John Howell at a special assembly.

He paid a visit to see a film they had made with their partner school in Zambia to launch its Global Citizenship project.

The children then took the opportunity to question him about his job. They included: “What is the biggest problem your party faces?” and “Have you ever fallen asleep in a meeting?”

Teacher Gillian Fraser said: “The children have already learned so much from our partnership with Bwafano Community School.

“From this small beginning, we can help them to understand what it means to live in a globally connected world and how even small, local changes, can make a difference to the lives of people living thousands of miles away.”
