More Oxbridge entrants

EIGHT students at The Henley College have been offered Oxbridge places.

They have received conditional offers to study subjects including maths and computer science, chemical engineering, biological sciences and experimental psychology.

The figure is twice the number of pupils who received offers from Oxford or Cambridge last year. There were 12 applicants this year.

The successful applicants include former pupils of Icknield Community College in Watlington and Gillotts School in Henley.

Principal Tom Espley credited the college’s Gifted and Talented programme.
