Varied programme of sport and games

St Mary’s offers a wide variety of sporting opportunity.

Games lessons are devoted to practising technical ability and competitive team games.

With the use of our school mini-buses, all children in Year 2 and above take part in their games lessons off site at various local venues, whilst the younger children from Nursery to Year 1 have their lessons at St Mary’s.

The school has regular access to a floodlit all-weather pitch, tennis courts and athletics pitch and also an indoor training pool for weekly swimming for the infants.

The school also has links with Shiplake College to enable the children in Year 6 to get involved in rowing lessons during the summer term. The school hall is well equipped with wall bars, ropes and free standing gymnastic equipment.
