Pupils create mural to brighten up school

SIX children at Crazies Hill primary created a mural for the school entrance.

Year five pupils India Mather, Abbi Fulbrook, Luca Macri, Emmanuel Marcial, Fenn Wingate and Olivia Wellman, all 10, and nine-year-old Heather Hurford, worked with artist David Bowers on the mural for three days.

The mural depicts two pupils holding hands in front of a cross and has images of computers, castles and flags of the world.

Headteacher Eileen Holmes said: “The children worked with great concentration and enthusiasm and the finished piece is splendid. David was very pleased with the result and he complemented the children on their keenness and attention to detail.

“This super new mural will mark the entrance with a grand flourish.”
