Open day focused on apprenticeships

ARE you just leaving school or college? Not sure what to do next? The Henley College is holding an apprenticeship open day on Wednesday, May 28 from 11am to 1pm.

The day is aimed at those of any age who are looking to do an apprenticeship or traineeship. The event is free and will give you the opportunity to talk to employers, staff and current apprentices to get an insight into your chosen industry.

If you are unsure what you want to do next why not go along and “have a go” at the different activities going on throughout the session, giving you a real insight into different industries and helping you to make a decision about your future career? Several local employers will also be on hand to discuss current vacancies.

Apprenticeships are a great way for anyone aged 16 plus to gain a nationally-recognised qualification whilst developing skills within a working environment.

At The Henley College they work with more than 500 employers throughout the Thames Valley and offer a range of apprenticeships in many vocational areas including business administration, customer service, childcare, teaching assistance, hospitality and catering, hairdressing, engineering and retail.
