Oratory students sent to Tower

PUPILS from The Oratory School in Woodcote visited the Tower of London as part of their study of Tudor England.

The boys, all from the independent school’s St Philip House, travelled up to the capital with new housemaster Charlie Watson.

They saw a suit of armour belonging to Henry VIII and learned about a Catholic priest who was imprisoned at the tower in 1594.

Mr Watson said: “The pupils left with a better understanding of this period of history.”
