Pupils win sixth title

TRINITY School in Henley has retained the Oxfordshire primaries cross-country winter series title.

TRINITY School in Henley has retained the Oxfordshire primaries cross-country winter series title.

It was the sixth time in seven years that the school has won the annual competition held at Chiltern Edge School in Sonning Common. Eleven schools took part.

Trinity topped the table with 197 points, ahead of second-placed Sonning Common primary (189.4) and Henley’s Sacred Heart primary in third (165).

Headteacher Roger Grant said: “The consistent achievement in this highly competitive event is testimony to the commitment and enduring sporting spirit of Trinity children.”

Other schools that took part included St Mary’s, Rupert House and Valley Road primary in Henley and Shiplake, Stoke Row, Kidmore End and RAF Benson primaries.
