THE Oratory School is “a great place to develop self-confidence and a faith in the nobler things of life” according to the Good Schools Guide.

St Philip House (catering for years seven and eight) is named after the patron saint of the school, St Philip Neri. Small in-house classes cater for boys aged 11 and 12, offering individual attention and excellent pastoral care.

Work is closely monitored, with an academic timetable designed to provide the widest choice possible. Boys are given every chance to expand their talents in a relaxed yet disciplined atmosphere.

Sports facilities include a nine-hole golf course, extensive rugby and cricket pitches, tennis courts, an indoor shooting range and a Real Tennis court.

Every year St Philip House boys experience an exciting trip, as well as being encouraged to take part in mathematic challenges, poetry competitions, chess tournaments, music and drama productions. A new “cutting edge” performing arts centre is due to open in March and the sports centre is being completely reshaped over the next two years, putting The Oratory at the forefront of boys’ education.
