Henley College closed due to snow

THE Henley College closed today (Friday) due to the heavy snow forecast

THE Henley College closed today (Friday) due to the heavy snow forecast.

All classes have been cancelled but timetabled exams will continue and the buses will be kept running for those students.

The first snowflakes began to fall during rush hour and the Met Office has predicted that it will get heavier throughout the day.

No other school closures have been announced, although South Stoke primary will be closing at noon.

Pupils were sent home when Gillotts School in Henley closed early on Monday due to snow.

About 1cm of snow fell, causing traffic to build up in the town centre and on Remenham Hill.

In Sonning Common, volunteers were called out to spread salt on untreated pavements as part of the village?s snow plan.

There were no reports of any problems elsewhere.
