THE Abbey School is a vibrant and welcoming community of almost 1,100 girls aged three to 18.

Each girl is encouraged to develop her interests and achieve her academic potential in a supportive pastoral environment.

The Abbey Junior School offers an excellent education and the atmosphere is friendly, lively, purposeful and fun.

The teachers are passionate about enriching the curriculum and there are many visiting workshops and school trips.

Additionally, there are many extra-curricular clubs ranging from gardening, dance and drama to judo and Mandarin.

There is a before and after school care programme and a very popular holiday club.

A new early years centre is currently under construction and will be opening in September. This centre will provide a stimulating and caring environment for three- to five-year-olds, where exploration and creativity are encouraged as girls take the all-important first steps in their school lives.

From September 2013, early years girls will be welcomed into the new centre that will incorporate advanced ICT and learning facilities, their own hall and an abundance of outside space for sport, play and activities.

Why not come and look round our facilities and meet the staff?

Our next junior school and early years open morning is on Friday, February 1 from 9.15am to 11am.
