Help at hand for dyslexic children

JEANNETTE COLBY, a qualified special educational needs co-ordinator based in Henley, has launched a new business offering services to parents of children with special needs. Spectrum SEN Ltd can provide dyslexia and dyscalculia screening in the comfort of the child’s home. Jeannette will provide a professional and individual report advising strategies to be applied to help the child progress through school.

Jeannette is also qualified to detect sensory, speech and language difficulties and most other learning difficulties in children for parents who are concerned about their child’s development. Parents can also attend support groups run by Jeannette, and she is also available to conduct interactive workshops for parents and toddlers.

Jeannette said: “As a qualified Senco, I can really help parents recognise their child’s learning difficulties in a positive way.”
