College students get Hollywood coaching

Drama students at The Henley College were given advice by a Hollywood actor and drama coach.

Drama students at The Henley College were given advice by a Hollywood actor and drama coach.

Kirk Baltz, who appeared in Reservoir Dogs, Dances With Wolves, Face Off and Natural Born Killers, flew from his home Los Angeles to spend a week with the teenagers.

Nic Saunders, the college?s head of performing arts, said the teaching complemented the students? studies.

He added: ?Working with Kirk gives them an insight into the processes a professional actor goes through when working on a scene and on a character.

They can then draw on this in their own work and for many of them it also allows them a chance to ask themselves if acting is something they?re serious about pursuing.?

Baltz has been an acting coach for 15 years as well as starring in films and TV shows including 24, Will And Grace and The Shield.
