SET in the heart of the town, Rupert House is the local school of choice for residents of Henley and the surrounding area. Children join the outstanding early years provision in the term following their third birthday.

The school has a strong academic record. Their nurturing ethos together with small class sizes ensures that every child is encouraged to fulfil their potential in all curriculum areas. Children work confidently with others, taking responsibility for their own part and developing the ability to listen to and take account of different views.

They form collaborative relationships, resolving issues to reach agreed outcomes. Children are helped to become creative thinkers, asking questions to extend their understanding as well as exploring different possibilities and ideas.

Boys leave at the end of year two and they, together with the girls who leave at the end of year six, move to a variety of prep and secondary schools both local and further afield.

Year six girls regularly achieve scholarships and, where eligible, entry to grammar schools.

The school has a thriving PE department and pupils from year three upwards participate successfully in many inter-school sports fixtures. Music and drama are given prominence and there are numerous opportunities for pupils to perform both within the school and to external audiences. Vibrant and innovative art work enhances and supports the learning environment throughout the school.

A wide range of extra-curricular activities enriches the taught curriculum and these are designed to stimulate the imagination, offering new and exciting experiences and challenges.

Entry registrations are currently being taken for the academic year 2013-2014. There are also limited places available in some classes.

Visits to this thriving school are warmly welcomed. Appointments may be arranged by telephoning the office on (01491) 574263 or join the open morning on Saturday, February 23 from 10am to 12 noon.
