THE nursery at RAF Benson has been taken over by a national charity.

THE nursery at RAF Benson has been taken over by a national charity.

4Children will now manage the business, which was previously run by the Old Station Nursery.

The premises has been given a makeover, funded by the RAF Benevolent Fund, the RAF Central Fund and 4Children.

A new kitchen and flooring were installed, the walls were painted and new furniture and toys were bought.

Charles Ellis, deputy chief executive of 4Children, said: “Having worked with the RAF community over a number of years to deliver youth support and nursery provision, we now have a unique insight into the challenges the RAF families face.

“We will be drawing strongly upon that experience to make sure that local families get precisely the standard of care and support they deserve for the sacrifice they make for this country.”
