A BUILDER’S merchant is providing specially designed “hoodies” to mark the achievements of pupils at Chiltern Edge School.

Peppard Building Supplies is donating one every six to eight weeks as a reward for the student who has worked hard and shown initiative.

Teacher Owen Joyce, who is running the scheme, said nominations could be made by staff and the winner would be chosen by their head of house.

He said: “Nominations are made for high points achievement in houses, consistent effort in lessons, one-off impressive achievement, service to the house and improvement in attitude.”

Neil Bryant, associate director of Peppard Building Supplies, said: “I was keen that any reward scheme should be open to all, that rewards should not be based solely on academic achievement and that our involvement should not be a one-off.”
