Primary school reunions

A SERIES of reunions is to be held for former pupils of Sonning Common Primary School.

A SERIES of reunions is to be held for former pupils of Sonning Common Primary School.

The four open evenings this month will also be for staff and parents of former pupils and will include tours of the school, old photographs, exhibitions and the chance to meet old classmates.

They are being held as part of the school’s centenary celebrations.

Melanie White, a former deputy headteacher who is compiling a book illustrating the history of the school, said: “The success of these evenings really depends on as many people as possible coming along.

“In order to maximise reunion possibilities it is suggested that guests come on different evenings according to the date of their connection with the school.

“Everyone can be sure of a warm welcome. It doesn’t even matter if you did not much enjoy being at the school!”

The reunion evenings are being organiseed according to years of attendance. To find out when they are, see Melanie White’s letter to the editor on page 10.
