Enterprise challenge

PUPILS at Gillotts School in Henley are taking part in an enterprise challenge to help them become more employable.

PUPILS at Gillotts School in Henley are taking part in an enterprise challenge to help them become more employable.

The initiative, which involves the whole school, has been running since February and will finish with a Dragons’ Den-style presentation evening judged by local businesses on June 20.

A team from each of the school’s six houses, each with a pupil from every year group, will put together a business presentation for an environmentally friendly “upcycled” product and pitch it to the “dragons”.

Pupils need to create a prototype product, promotional movie, radio commercial and a flyer.

They have been given advice by Keith Heron, a lecturer in entrepreneurship and management at Henley Business School, Chris Wellings, of CTC-Aspire in Henley, and Ed Atkinson, chairman of the Henley Inventors Club.
