PRINCE Michael of Kent visited RAF Benson Primary School during an official trip to the base.

PRINCE Michael of Kent visited RAF Benson Primary School during an official trip to the base.

He was greeted by pupils at the entrance before visiting Griffin class.

He looked at the coat of arms and castles they had made during their castles and knights project, which included studying the royal family.

He also visited a group from Puma class who are writing a letter to children at their link school in Argentina as part of a British Council project.

Prince Michael’s last stop was the Wessex pastoral support room where he spoke to parents about how the school supports their children during deployment.

A flag-lined pathway of children, staff and parents watched Prince Michael leave.

Headteacher Steph Fawdry said: “It was one of those very special occasions that the children, staff and parents will remember for many years to come.”
