IN response to demand from parents Joseph Smith, headmaster of Oratory Preparatory School, is happy to announce that Little Oaks nursery will be opening its doors in January to offer term-time childcare to the over-twos.
The first bricks have now been laid and there’s a buzz in the air as things begin to take shape. Little Oaks will have one class for two- to three-year-olds and two classes of three- to four-year-olds, enabling the school to increase the current kindergarten.
The numbers in nursery classes will be in line with the rest of school — small enough to ensure that your child receives quality one-to-one attention but large enough to encourage social interaction and play. The nursery will have close physical and educational links to the successful pre-prep department and as a Catholic school — though not a school exclusively for Catholic children — parents can expect their children’s care to be based on the belief that every child is unique, precious and has something valuable to offer.
