A REUNION was held for former students of the Henley Grammar School.
Forty members of the class of 1973 travelled from all over the world to meet with their old friends and members of staff.
The weekend reunion included a reception at the Henley Business School and a visit to their old school, which is now The Henley College.
The former pupils got the chance to go back to their original classrooms and sixth-form common room.
Nick Richardson, one of the organisers, said: “We were amazed that so little had changed in 40 years — other than the swimming pool which has disappeared into the woodland.”
A date was set for the next major meeting in 2023 — the 50th anniversary or golden jubilee — but in the meantime there will be a number of small gatherings for old friends and acquaintances in London.
The former pupils welcome any former Grammar School students who would like to join them for this.
