School to celebrate 50th year

ROBERT Piggott Infant School will celebrate its 50th birthday next Friday (October 18). The school, which caters for children aged five to eight, will have a thanskgiving assembly where pupils will take part in a procession of flags. There will also be a photo slideshow to show how the school has changed over the years and a blessing by Rev Jon Drake, the curate of Wargrave parish. Afterwards, there will be a tea party for staff, pupils and guests. Former staff and pupils are being asked to make contact with any photos or memories they have of their time at the school.
