College elects new chairman

THE Henley College Corporation has elected a new chairman and vice-chairman.

THE Henley College Corporation has elected a new chairman and vice-chairman.

The new chairman is Jasminder Love, who has been a parent-governor since 2010 and chairs the strategy, students and curriculum committee.

She has worked in the training sector, having qualified in social work and psychotherapy, and has been involved in looking at strategies for bringing women into management and leadership.

She was a consultant to the Whitehall and Industry Group and has been a mentor and coach across a range of sectors.

Mrs Love has been a trustee of the Women’s Therapy Centre, a girls’ charity in London, and a number of Oxfordshire charities.

The new vice-chairwoman is Louise Adams, a chartered surveyor, who has been a parent-governor since 2007 and chairs the corporation’s accommodation strategy committee.

Mrs Adams is also a governor of Peppard Primary School.

Rick Holroyd, headteacher of Langtree School in Woodcote, has joined the corporation as the college’s new partner school governor.

Music students at the college will perform The Henley College Presents: A Marvellous Night, After Van Morrison’s Moondance at the Kenton Theatre on January 23. Tickets are £5 each and £1 from each one sold will be donated to the Henley Youth Centre.
