Sir Steve on hand for careers advice

FIVE-TIME Olympic rowing gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave visited youngsters at Frieth School for their careers day.

FIVE-TIME Olympic rowing gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave visited youngsters at Frieth School for their careers day.

The vice-chairman of Henley Royal Regatta spoke to the children about what they wanted to be when they grew up.

They also had an opportunity to talk to various professionals, research unusual careers, talk about undoing stereotypes, understand how their education will help them in a career and received advice on how to overcome hurdles.

The professionals - which featured some parents of children at the school - included a police officer, archaeologist, lawyer, translator, pharmacist, two pilots, a book-keeper and a vet.
