Peppard Primary donates books to Ghana

Pupils at Peppard Primary School celebrated World book Day by donating a book to charity

Sharing: pupils at Peppard Primary School celebrated World book Day by donating a book to charity.

Each child sent a copy of their favourite title to Ghana with the help of Promote Global Learning, a charity which provides books and other education material to schools in Africa. In Ghana 90 per cent of children have never owned a book.

Headteacher Nick Steele said: "This was a great opportuity for the children to become more aware of the lives of children in other countrues and to feel that they were making a difference."
