THREE members of staff left Shiplake College at the end of the spring term.

Mike Edwards spent 23 years at the college during which time he pioneered numerous sporting successes and was instrumental in establishing business as a popular sixth-form subject.

He has taken early retirement and plans time to travel and write.

Jon Brownley spent nearly five years at the school teaching theology and philosophy and also became assistant housemaster of Orchard House.

Language teacher Claire Guilbert has returned to her native France.
