School celebrates 150th anniversary

FRIETH School is to celebrate its 150th anniversary.

FRIETH School is to celebrate its 150th anniversary.

An exhibition about the history of the school with artefacts and photographs will be held during the week of July 6 to 10 and there will be an open day on July 7.

On July 10, there will be the summer queen celebration with traditional maypole and country dancing and welcoming in the new head boy and head girl.

Headteacher Jo Read said: “We would like to reach out to anyone with links to our school and invite them to join us. On the Friday there will be an afternoon and evening of celebration, including stalls and refreshments, and a chance to catch up with friends past and present.”
