MORE than 30 students at Icknield Community College in Watlington staged a production of the musical

Little Shop of Horrors.

The 11- to 16-year-olds gave four performances following seven months of rehearsals. The musical is a comedy about a nerdy florist shop worker who raises a vicious, raunchy plant that feeds on human blood.

Music teacher James Dobson said: “It‘s a fun musical and the students really enjoyed having the puppets to play with.

“It‘s also a funny musical so they had a chance to show their humorous side. We‘ve never done anything on this scale before. It was really good fun for the teachers and the kids and a really memorable experience.“

Head of drama Adam Rowe added: “The kids worked very hard for months so it was great to see that come to fruition.“
