PUPILS at Crazies Hill Primary School staged a pirate-themed play for parents.
More than 50 children in years three to six took part in the production of
The Pinafore Pirates, a musical comedy based on Gilbert and Sullivan‘s
The Pirates of Penzance. They performed twice at Crazies Hill village hall on two days and the second show was watched by about 100 parents.
The children were dressed as pirates, fairies and police officers and performed against a backdrop of a pirate ship which had been painted and hung on the stage.
Teacher Jo Shell, who directed the production, said: “The children performed to an amazing standard.
“They all delivered their lines beautifully and sang with a gusto and their costumes looked fantastic. I was really proud of all the children for their hard work.
“The parents loved the performance. They laughed at all the right bits.“
