Nettlebed children love to learn

THE children of Nettlebed Community School and Happy Days Pre-School love to learn. They are confident children and independent thinkers. Visitors always comment warmly on the family atmosphere here.

We have extensive modern facilities — rebuilt in 2006 — and the school has grown considerably in recent years, yet we maintain the spirit of a traditional village school, with a values-based philosophy that encourages love, respect, responsibility, perseverance, kindness and quality.

Happy Days Pre-School works in close partnership with Nettlebed Community School. A natural arrangement, as we share the same premises. Both settings work hard to provide a seamless transition from Pre-School to “Big School” and we have shared development priorities.

A sporty school, Nettlebed has recently invested in a specialist PE teacher to take each class for PE weekly.

We are also part of a thriving sports partnership and jointly employ a sports co-ordinator who organises a raft of partnership events and fixtures.

The children of Nettlebed achieve well. They make outstanding progress and attain highly. They leave us well-equipped for the next stage of their journey.
