Children sing for care home residents

CHILDREN from Emmer Green Pre-School helped start the festive season at St Luke’s care home in Reading

CHILDREN from Emmer Green Pre-School helped start the festive season at St Luke’s care home in Reading when they sang traditional and contemporary Christmas songs and carols for the residents.

The three- and four-year-olds also took mince pies along and had fun colouring in Christmas pictures provided by homr staff. Wendy Robins, supervisor at the pre-school, said: “Singing together, particularly at this special time of year, is such a great way for people across the generations to enjoy time together.

The children received many comments on their ‘angelic’ performance. We wish all the residents a very happy Christmas and hope we are invited to come again next year.”
