Firefighters visited the Dragonflies Montessori Nursery in Henley. Watch manager Nick Windsor and crew manager Alastair Letchford gave a talk to 20 children aged two and three. Mr Windsor explained how important smoke alarms are in detecting fire and set one off to demonstrate the sound. The children were then led outside and showed around a fire engine from Henley fire station in West Street. Kirsty Ouellette, a deputy manager at the nursery, said the visit was to tie in with the term’s theme of “the people who help us”.
