MORE than 92 per cent of Oxfordshire children due to start secondary school in September have

MORE than 92 per cent of Oxfordshire children due to start secondary school in September have been allocated a place at their first-preference school, according to the county council.

This was an improvement on the 2015 figure of 90.98 per cent despite an extra 183 applications.

The figure for Reading borough was 82.3 per cent compared with 78.6 per cent last year.
