Children at Emmer Green Pre-School held an Easter bonnet parade and competition.

The three- and four-year-olds made their own bonnets at home and Tommy Briggs’ creation was judged to be the best.

Simon Watson, manager of Budgens in Emmer Green, judged the competition and donated the prizes plus the chocolate eggs for the traditional Easter egg hunt which followed the parade.

Wendy Robins, supervisor at the pre-school, said: “The children looked fantastic in their Easter bonnets. Sso much hard work had been put into making them at home. Seeing them smiling as they paraded around the pre-school always makes everyone feel like spring has finally arrived.”
