CHILDREN at The Heights Primary School in Caversham ran laps round each other to raise money for Sport Relief. They all took part in a sponsored run around St Anne’s School field, which is next door. Each year group had a 10-minute session, with the children sponsored for each lap they completed. Spokeswoman Michele Pattison said: “It was absolutely freezing but the children did brilliantly and really tried their best to get as many laps as possible under their belts. They were especially excited to be invited to dress in either their school PE kit, or the uniform for a sport they support outside of school. There were gymnasts, cricketers, footballers, rugby stars and capoeiristas byt, thankfully, no swimmers!” The school has still to count the money raised.
