Woman badly injured after traffic accident

A WOMAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after her Ford Focus left the road and hit a tree.

A WOMAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after her Ford Focus left the road and hit a tree.

The incident happened at 2.35pm yesterday (Thursday) on the A4130 between Nettlebed and Bix.

The driver, who is in her forties and was the only occupant of the car, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where she remains.

Police closed the road from Bix through to the Nettlebed roundabout for several hours and traffic was diverted through the Assendons.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
