Attempted bike theft

A TEENAGER attempted to steal a boy’s bike on the Thames Path in Caversham.

A TEENAGER attempted to steal a boy’s bike on the Thames Path in Caversham.

The 12-year-old was riding with friends near Cow Lane at about 6.10pm on Wednesday last week.

He was approached by two boys also riding bicycles. One of them attempted to take the victim’s bicycle before being disturbed by a woman and riding off towards Scours Lane.

The offender is described by police as Asian, around 16-years-old, of a slim build with black hair combed to the side. He was wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a black t-shirt and white Airmax 95 trainers. and was carrying a grey Nike bag across his chest and was riding on a small grey Saracen bicycle.

The second offender is described as black, also around 16-years-old and of large build. He was wearing black jeans, a black t-shirt and was riding on a white Fleet bicycle.
