TWO police community support officers are to patrol Sonning Common in the evenings to help tackle anti-social behaviour.
Last month three people were issued with section 59 orders for anti-social driving and two cannabis possession warnings were handed out.
Parish council chairman Douglas Kedge said: “We have been inspired by the way local police have responded to problems of antisocial behaviour.
“I think I speak for all the councillors to say how much we appreciate all the police are doing.
“Two Pcsos will patrol the village in the evenings and there is an action plan until Christmas.”
He said that Insp Mark Harling, of Thames Valley Police, had said police received a lot of complaints from residents about anti-social behaviour.
Officers would be visiting local schools to encourage proper behaviour on Halloween and bonfire night.
Police were still investigating vandalism of a seat in the Baskerville Road play area, he said.
Meanwhile, the village is to have a new Pcso. William Pomroy will replace Mark Bell who arrived a year ago to replace Colin Boyes.
