MORE than 245 people were arrested during Thames Valley Police’s Christmas anti-drink-driving campaign in December.
This was a three per cent decrease on the 252 arrests made during the same period in 2012.
The figures don’t include arrests made on the last two days of the month.
Of those arrested, 200 were men, up from 198 in the previous year, and 45 were women (54). One hundred and thirty-nine have been charged, 71 bailed and 35 released with no further action.
Sixty-two arrests were made in Oxfordshire, 89 in Berkshire and 94 in Buckinghamshire.
