Collision on Greys Road

A WOMAN was injured after her car collided with the back of a stationary workmen’s truck in Henley today.

The truck was parked opposite the entrance to the Gainsborough estate in Greys Road when the accident happened at 8.50am.

The windscreen of the woman’s Toyota was smashed and front of the car and rear of the truck were damaged.

Police and paramedics attended the scene and the woman was treated for a minor back injury. The truck was being used by cousins Frank and Luke Stevens, who work for FGS Driveways and Landscapes in Twyford, as they were building a driveway at the time.

Luke Stevens, 30, who was sitting in the truck when the accident happened, said: “I was just writing in the diary and then ‘bang’, it sounded like a canon going off behind me.”

He was shocked but unharmed and said the woman was visibly shaken by the collision.
